I used to read Parenting when my children were babies and figured I would give their new magazine a try after seeing the promotion. I didn’t have huge expectations, was just expecting a quick read with some articles geared towards school age issues. That is pretty much what I got. Not that many articles have really stood out so far except one in the most recent issue on education and testing that I found interesting enough to save for a friend. Overall its ok and one of the few parenting magazines not about babies or toddlers. My biggest complaint is I received the first two issues back to back and one was for the month that had passed, the other for a month about to pass. I would have preferred receiving new issues instead of back issues.

This magazine is very informative and always gives parents good recipes and loads of information. I would recommend it to anyone with children in school.

Hmmm…maybe I was duped into thinking parenting includes fathers (I am a stepfather, so what would I know, eh?). This magazine WAS free — I’m not complaining about price at all. But content? Nothing at all for fathers of any stripe. I am very disappointed in this magazine. It should be called “Women Parent” or something. I guess I’ll have to get my fathering skills from Maxim.
